Technical

Qualify for Unrestricted - Technical exam

Regulated by the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO), the Unrestricted – Technical Only (Level 2) exam assists individuals who wish to remove the "Acting Under Supervision" restriction from their license but have no intention of pursuing the full "Unrestricted" registration. 
To qualify for this restriction, an individual must be actively employed holding a RIBO registration restricted to "Acting Under Supervision." More information about this licence can be found on the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) website.

Management

Eligibility for the Unrestricted - Management exam

The exams are regulated by the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO). Individuals who hold an "Unrestricted" registration will still be under the direction of the Principal Broker of the firm they are employed by.
To apply to write the Unrestricted – Management examination, you must hold a RIBO registration restricted to "Acting Under supervision" or "Unrestricted – Technical Only" and have been actively employed for at least two (2) years with a RIBO registered firm.
