C14 is a detailed study of automobile insurance in Canada. It covers automobile insurance legislation, policies and regulations, focusing mostly on personal coverages. You will learn about different provincial approaches to automobile insurance and examine Owner’s Policies or coverages specific to your own province.

Who should register

This course is mandatory if you are working towards your CIP, but you can choose when to complete it. We recommend completing it early on, as the concepts introduced are helpful in several other CIP courses.

Exam

Each CIP course has a final exam worth at least two-thirds of the course grade. The exam can be written online with virtual proctoring or in-person at one of our exam centres (subject to availability).

C14 exams are transitioning to a new format:

  • 2 hours (120 minutes)
  • 100 multiple-choice questions (200 marks)
  • combination of knowledge-based and scenario-based questions
