Climate Risk Leadership in the Time of COVID-19

National Webinar - Please adjust time accordingly

ON [Carte]
Date and Time: août 19, 2020 12:30 pm ET - 2:00 pm ET

At the beginning of this year, the Institute published an important report on climate risks. The report analyzes the risks presented by extreme weather and climate change and explores actions required for the industry to address them over the next decade.

The year 2020 took a sharp turn with the global spread of the novel coronavirus affecting every aspect of our lives and shifting priorities. How do climate risks fit into this evolving new order?

Join report author Paul Kovacs as he presents the research findings of the 2020 report, and moderates a discussion exploring what climate risk leadership looks like for the P&C insurance industry in Canada.

Paul will be joined by panelists:

Carol Jardine
President, Canadian P&C Operations
The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company

Donna Ince
Senior Vice President, Personal Insurance
RSA Canada

Patrick Barbeau
Senior Vice President, Claims
Intact Insurance

The discussion will include topics such as:

- disaster resilience and resilient communities;

- climate-specific regulation in Canada;

- climate risk disclosure and scenario analysis.
