This seminar is designed
for all insurance professionals who need to enhance their Condominium
knowledge as well as Board members and Property Managers. Brokers,
underwriters, adjusters, personal and commercial; anyone who deals with
Condominiums on a daily basis.
The attendee will be introduced to the fundamentals to help advise Boards and
Unit Owners with respect to the unique aspects of insurance as it relates to
their needs and the Condominium Act of Alberta. You will receive handout
material for future reference. The instruction will be delivered in lead
presentation then a claims workshop.

Ken began his insurance career in
1982 in Winnipeg. He has held positions of increasing responsibility
(underwriting, policy construction, branch management, broker management,
pricing, business analytics, claims interpretation) for major property and
casualty Insurers. He spent four years with a commercial broker in
He became a Chartered Insurance Professional with the Insurance
Institute of Canada in 1991 and obtained his certificate in Risk Management in
He was an instructor for the Insurance Institute of Manitoba for 9
years and is active in the industry as a presenter of many seminars on behalf of
the industry groups and associations.
During the recent
catastrophic events in Alberta (2016 fire and 2013 flood) he was the lead at the
corporate underwriting level to support claims with policy wording
interpretation and strategy.
His present position is with The
Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company as the Director, Specialty Lines. He is
responsible for Wawanesa's Specialty Lines operations at the corporate level in
