In-person Fast Track Licensing Course

Our Level 1 education will introduce you to:

Risk, Insurance Categories and Companies, Sales Distribution, Insurance as a Contract, Underwriting and Rating, Claims, Automobile Insurance, Property/Liability Insurance (homeowner, other, commercial), Ethics, and Regulatory Framework.

Course fees include tuition, exam, two textbooks, BC auto supplement, online tutorial, membership, shipping fee, and all applicable taxes.

This is an in-person class; however, it is ideal for you to bring a laptop, tablet, or at least a cell-phone to participate in the activities and to take quizzes. 

The BC Level 1 Licensing GIE one week course option is optimal for:

• newcomers to the industry who have not yet made a definitive career commitment
• those in junior or support positions seeking an overview of the industry and to further their understanding of policies and claims processes
• learners who prefer an in-class option supported by an instructor with a quick, immersion type timeline
• career changers who are looking for an entry-level program in the property & casualty industry

Examinations:
Licensing exams are two (2) hours in duration | 100 multiple-choice questions | 70% is required to pass.

Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be eligible to apply to the Insurance Institute of Canada to receive a credit for the CIP course, C11: Principles and Practice of Insurance.
