Congratulations on successfully completing your final course in the CIP, ACIP, FCIP designation and GIE, Risk Management or Commercial Insurance Certificate programs! You may be anxious to know when you can begin using your designation and what you need to do to receive your certificate. The following information may help you to solve some of the puzzles:
• If you successfully completed your last exam in December 2022, April 2023 or July 2023, you will graduate in November 2023.
• Latest by July 2023. you should receive a letter from the CEO of the Insurance Institute congratulating you on your achievement and indicating the date you can use your designation.
Students who successfully complete their exams in the stated exam sessions are permitted to begin using their CIP designation on the following dates:
December exam session - June 1
April exam session - June 1
July exam session - November 1
• Please make sure to update your profile to include the current email address, home address, business address, personal phone number, and most importantly, the company you work for, which is for employment verification purposes.
• Your certificate will be presented to you at the 2023 Convocation.
• 2023 Convocation luncheon will be held on November 8, 2023 and more details to come in September 2023.

STEPS TO BECOMING A CIP
When you successfully complete your final exam in the CIP program, you are automatically eligible to graduate, but a few steps need to happen before you can begin using your CIP designation. We need to ensure you meet the academic and employment requirements of the program, including at least one year of full-time employment in the industry. If we require any additional information from you, you will be notified by email.
