Catherine Roe, president, chief agent, CNA Canada

Catherine Roe will be CNA Canada’s new president and chief agent, effective Nov. 10, 2025.

She succeeds Greg Metcalfe, who has been the company’s interim chief agent since April. At that time, Nick Creatura, CNA Canada’s former president and CEO, retired after seven years with the organization.

“Catherine’s extensive expertise, strategic vision, and passion for delivering innovative insurance solutions make her the ideal leader for CNA Canada,” Doug Worman, president and CEO of CNA Financial Corporation, says of her appointment.

Roe has more than 30 years of leadership experience in insurance and risk management across North America. Most recently, she served as executive vice president and central regional leader at Aon. She also has senior executive experience at Marsh Canada and worked through the ranks of FM Global Canada for more than five years.

As president and chief agent at CNA Canada, Roe will oversee all aspects of the organization’s Canadian operations. She will be responsible for working with the global and local executive teams to achieve profitable growth, strengthen market position, and deliver on the company’s commitment to clients and brokers, the company says.

In Canada, CNA’s products and services are provided by Continental Casualty Company, a specialist commercial property and casualty insurance provider for clients and brokers in all local geographies, with more than 100 years of experience.
