BrokerLink has gone cross-country with its latest three brokerage acquisitions in the provinces of Alberta, Ontario, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

BrokerLink announced the acquisitions of Leibel Insurance Group in Alberta, Ontario-based Chris Mellor Insurance Brokers Ltd. (CMIB) and Newfoundland-based Crosbie Job Insurance. Deals involving Leibel Insurance and CMIB closed July 1, while Crosbie Job Insurance closed June 1, BrokerLink said in a press release on July 9.

Leibel Insurance has grown into one of Alberta’s largest independent brokers. It has a focus on commercial insurance solutions and has served customers across the province since 1981.

“With locations in Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto, the brokerage offers specialized programs such as group insurance, while focusing on key industries like transportation and construction,” BrokerLink says in the release. It also supports local communities through charitable initiatives.

For its part, CMIB is a family-owned insurance brokerage based in Toronto. It offers personalized insurance solutions for three generations. Established in 1957, the brokerage offers homeowner, condo, tenant, auto/motorcycle, boat, small commercial and ‘other’ insurance, according to its website.

With a legacy dating back to the 1860s, Newfoundland’s Crosbie Job Insurance has also built lasting relationships with its customers. The brokerage offers a wide variety of personal and commercial insurance products, including, but not limited to: home, auto, condo, motorcycle, recreational vehicle, watercraft, umbrella, commercial auto, marine, environmental, cyber, hospitality, and truck insurance.

Crosbie Job Insurance also offers online insurance products for building maintenance and renovation contractors, personal trainers, non-profit directors and officers, accountants, hairstylists, photographers, and food truck/mobile vendors, among others.

“Since 1984, the brokerage has remained deeply connected to the communities it serves by supporting local organizations, including food banks and sports clubs, and has maintained its offices in smaller locations to continue fostering strong ties,” BrokerLink says in the release. Crosbie Job Insurance has locations in eight Newfoundland communities.

“With a shared commitment to serving customers, every one of the teams joining us brings their local expertise and community connections to our proud Canadian company,” adds BrokerLink president Joe D’Annunzio.

Less than a month ago, BrokerLink announced it had acquired another three brokerages in Ontario and Alberta.

BrokerLink, with more than 200 branches and 4,000 employees nationwide, most recently acquired Average Insurance Inc. in the Greater Toronto Area, Keyes Insurance Brokers in Gananoque, Ont., and Calgary-based CDM Insurance Brokers Ltd.

In March, it acquired three other brokerages — two in Alberta and one in Newfoundland and Labrador.
