Anna McCrindell receives first FCIP Top Graduate Award

Anna McCrindell, IIO-Southwestern Ontario, has received the first FCIP Top Graduate Award for her work in the new-track Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) program.

The FCIP Top Graduate Award recognizes the graduating candidate who has achieved the highest overall performance, nationally, across the six courses of the new FCIP program. Anna was one of the first candidates to enroll in the new FCIP program when it launched in 2010.

Anna said the new-track FCIP program provided her with a business education with an exclusive focus on property and casualty insurance.

“It just made me much more of a confident insurance person, more aware of industry issues,” she said. “As well, it really got me to think about leadership, and enabled me to learn about and to hone my leadership skills.”

Anna received her award from Pat Van Bakel, president of Insurance Institute of Ontario (IIO), at the IIO-Southwestern Ontario convocation lunch on November 5, 2014.

Graduates of the new FCIP program are also being congratulated at other institutes and chapters across the country, including B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
