Through the examination of case studies, this presentation will explore the interplay of New Home Warranty insurance policies with other construction and home insurance policies in construction defects cases in British Columbia.

Alexandre Maltas, Partner - Whitelaw Twining 
Alex joined Whitelaw Twining in 2007 and has broad experience before all levels of the British Columbia courts.  Alex's practice focuses on construction, commercial and professional liablity matters. In addition, he has particular expertise in construction insurance, warranty and surety related matters.

May Mehrabi, Senior Associate - Whitelaw Twining    
May began her career at Whitelaw Twining in 2013.  She has appeared on behalf of clients at all levels of courts in British Columbia.  May practices in the area of general insurance litigation with a focus on construction and professional liability matters.  She has extensive experience dealing with new home warranty litigation on both the defence and recovery sides.
