The risk manager has a multi-faceted role as they manage risk from various perspectives: underwriting, claims and broker/agent. Driving forces affecting a company’s risk management strategy also include strategies for bridging gaps between client, broker, underwriter and adjuster. Learn tips and tools for managing risk and discuss lessons learned from claims!

Matthew Rapparlie,CRM, CAIB, B.Ed.,  Risk and Community Safety Manager - Thompson Rivers University 
Matt has over 10 years experience as a commercial lines broker.  In 2019 he made the transition to risk management with a position at Thompson Rivers University.  Matt has served on the board of the BC Risk and Insurance Management Association as both the Vice President and current role of President.
