If you think it is difficult to understand fire ignition and how fire travels within a building, wait until you investigate a vehicle fire! Not only are there many oxidants, fuels, and ignition sources, but they are all crammed into a very confined space. Whether you're a new or seasoned investigator, it's important to understand the various dynamics involved in a vehicle fire in order to determine the origin and cause of the thermodynamic event.

Scott Broad is an internationally certified fire and explosion investigator, internationally certified vehicle fire investigator, and internationally certified fire investigation instructor. He has investigated over 1500 fires and he is well-recognized as a vehicle and electrical fire expert. Scott is the Past-President of the Canadian Association of Fire Investigators and is a member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, National Association of Fire Investigators, and the Society of Automotive Engineers where he sits on the NFPA 921 Vehicle Fire Steering committee.
