Business Interruption Insurance has the reputation of being very complicated, and questions often arise about how the same (or similar) wording applies to different businesses with varying operations. This seminar aims to simplify the technical aspects of business interruption insurance and allows participants to gain insight into how coverage applies in practice through the use of problem-based learning. Utilizing hands on numerical exercises to depict how the wording is applied helps participants make sense of a coverage that can have many gray areas.

This seminar is aimed at insurance professionals in all disciplines. It will help brokers sell the coverage by discussing the various forms in the marketplace and determining "best fits" for their clients. You will leave with an understanding of the coverages and issues that might otherwise lead to E&O claims and co-insurance penalties.

Underwriters are looked to to provide coverage guidance to the adjusters on claims. This all begins with an understanding of the policy wordings and how to apply them in a specific circumstance. This seminar will discuss these wordings and connect the necessary dots on how to apply them.

In the aftermath of an event adjusters are front and center and need to be able to accurately and simply explain what coverages will apply to a loss event and answer questions from the insured on how the policy wordings will apply to their loss.

Each participant will receive a package with complete notes on the course as well as hands on exercises.
