Insurance Licensing in Saskatchewan

The Insurance Institute provides study resources to prepare you to take the exams for Saskatchewan Restricted Auto and General Insurance Broker/Agent and Adjuster licensing. Restricted Auto Licensing
The Insurance Institute of Saskatchewan provides the education that helps you prepare to get your Restricted Auto Licence in a number of study formats to suit your preferred learning mode. Learn more and register.
General Insurance Agent/Broker Licensing
Below are the education requirements needed to prepare you to pass your licensing exams. When you are confident that you know the content and are ready to take the exam, contact the Insurance Institute of Saskatchewan to schedule.
Level 1
Option 1: Saskatchewan Restricted Auto Licence as above, the successful completion of C81: General Insurance Essentials—Part 1 and C82: General Insurance Essentials—Part 2, and the Saskatchewan Licensing Supplement.
Option 2: The successful completion of C81: General Insurance Essentials—Part 1 and C82: General Insurance Essentials—Part 2, and the Saskatchewan Licensing Supplement. (Pre-requisite for option 2 is the successful completion of the Restricted Auto Licence).
Level 2
Level One requirements plus successful completion of CIP courses: C130 and C131
Level 3
Option 1: Level One and Two requirements plus completion of C132
Option 2: Completed CIP designation
General Insurance Adjuster Licensing
While there is no formal study material for the General Insurance Council Adjuster Qualifying examination, the below are acknowledged reference materials that will assist you. When you are confident that you know the content and are ready to take the exam, contact the Insurance Institute of Saskatchewan to schedule.
Level 1
Option 1: Successful completion of CIP course: C11
Option 2: GIE Certificate Program
Level 2
Level one requirements plus Successful completion of CIP courses: C111, C112, C32, and C110
Level 3
Level two requirements plus completed CIP designation
