The Insurance Institute is the industry’s premier source for insurance education, including technical, professional and soft-skills training. Designation Programs

The Insurance Institute offers four designation programs that represent the national standard for insurance professionalism, technical expertise and leadership in the p&c sector.

These programs were developed for the industry, in collaboration with the Institute’s education and insurance professionals. Enrolling in these programs provides you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in one of the many insurance career paths available, such as broker, agent, underwriter, adjuster or risk manager.

Certificate Programs

The Insurance Institute offers a variety of certificate programs, designed to improve your skills and subject-matter understanding. By enrolling in these certificate programs, you gain access to up-to-date industry knowledge and leading-edge techniques that you can put into practice every day.

Licensing

Provincial governments across Canada have approved the use of Insurance Institute courses as study materials leading to multiple levels of licences for agents and brokers, and independent adjusters. Learn more about insurance licensing in Canada.

CE OnDemand

Are you a broker or agent looking for CE hours? Try CE OnDemand, a suite of one-hour online courses giving you a fast and convenient way to learn about highly relevant topics while meeting the continuing education requirements of your license. All courses are accredited by provincial regulators (where applicable) and are available 24/7 from the IIC’s eLearning portal.
