A key component of healthy and effective communication is assertiveness, which is the ability to assert yourself in important conversations, which may take the form of answering client questions, responding to angry customers, sharing your ideas and opinions with co-workers and bosses, sharing what you need or want in a given situation, asking for help, etc. In this session we will define assertiveness and its vital role in every important conversation. You will gain the skills to have the courage, confidence and ability to assert yourself without over doing it and coming on too strong. This will help you get more of what you need from others while maintaining healthy relationships.

Stephen Franklin
Stephen has spent the last 32 years helping individuals and teams with their Professional Development, through seminars, consulting and individual coaching across Canada. Through his work with the Insurance Institutes, he has helped many Insurance Professionals find real solutions to some of their most challenging workplace issues. He is an experienced facilitator, facilitating in accordance with the International Board of Standards for Training Performance and Instruction. In his various roles as a public speaker he has spoken across Canada as well as in the United States and Australia.
