Gain a deeper understanding of ICBC's new Enhanced Care model introduced on May 1, 2021. The session will provide a thorough review and application of the Basic Vehicle Damage Coverage and other coverages. The Enhanced Accident Benefits will be discussed in-depth, including when they are accessible to British Columbians injured in an automobile crash. Please note that a basic understanding of the Enhanced Care changes is required.Webinar Objectives

Webinar Presenters ~ from ICBC
Trevor Yerxa, Claims Review Advisor
Trevor Yerxa is a Claims Review Advisor within the Enhanced Care claims division. Trevor has been with ICBC for fourteen years, having spent the majority of this time in various claims adjusting and management roles. Most recently, he was the business lead on administration of accident benefits for the implementation of enhanced care. Trevor is currently responsible for the design and improvement of claims policy and is relied upon by claims staff for his technical expertise.
Christopher Dicdiquin, Insurance Advisor
Chris Dicdiquin joined ICBC's Insurance Contact Center as a customer service representative. Since then, Chris has performed numerous progressive roles within Insurance. As a Call Center Coordinator, responsible for Call Quality Monitoring for the agents and delivering training for new hires. As a Business Analyst, he developed numerous reporting dashboards to help support data driven decision-making. Most recently he was a Senior Business Advisor for the Enhanced Care Project team, he served as a Subject Matter Expert for Enhanced Care changes related to ICBC's products and coverages. He also helped lead the design of the new products and coverages introduced as part of Enhanced Care (e.g. Income Top-Up, Hit and Run coverage and Off-Highway TPL). Currently he is an Insurance Advisor for the product development team.
Nelson Gonzalez, Commercial Underwriting Manager
Nelson Gonzalez is the Commercial Underwriting Manager. He has been with ICBC for 12 years. He spent his first 3 years working in the Fleet department and then transition into the PolicyCenter Insurance sales administration system project as a subject matter expert. He was the business lead for the PCFG Project and successfully help implement Fleet and Garage functionality into PolicyCenter in 2018. In his current role he manages the commercial underwriting team which oversees the medium to large commercial risks. Prior to joining ICBC Nelson was a commercial insurance producer for 9 years at a brokerage in Norther California. He has a bachelors in Science and holds a CIP designation.
Murad Javed, Manager of Strategy and Operations Transformation
Murad Javed is the Manager of Strategy and Operations Transformation. He was closely involved in the design and execution of the Enhanced Care insurance transformation at ICBC. In this role, as the Delivery Lead for products and coverages, he helped update ICBC's product portfolio - including the launch of new coverages and products, in advance of the transition to Enhanced Care. He also provided close support and guidance to ICBC's Insurance Operations department during the transition to the new insurance model. He is currently managing a customer remediation team with Insurance Operations. Prior to joining ICBC Murad has worked in various roles with the Ontario Government, and with the United Nations. He has a Masters in Public Policy from the University of Toronto.
