Equipment Breakdown Insurance is an often overlooked, but vital segment of the insurance market; this seminar is geared towards helping you better understand it. Equipment Breakdown Insurance premium volumes in Canada now near three hundred million dollars annually, and there are thousands of uninsured exposures out there lacking this essential coverage. Equipment Breakdown Insurance is an important piece of protection in a risk management plan that no business should be without. Unfortunately, equipment owners never realize the importance of this type of coverage until a large claim is made and denied by property insurers.

    SEMINAR PRESENTER

    Darlene McBride, FRM, CIP, Manager, Vancouver Regional Office
    Boiler Inspection & Insurance Company of Canada (BI&I)

    Darlene Joined HSB BI&I as a Marketing Rep for the Vancouver Regional office in 2012 and was promoted to the Branch Manager position in 2014. Her track record with BI&I in relationship management and new business development is considered amongst the best in the Company. Darlene joined BI&I with over 20 years' experience in commercial property business working with Brokers, P & C Insurers, Managing General Agents and Risk Inspection Companies. She has held positions in Business Development, Operations, Human Resources and Marketing.

    Darlene holds a CIP Designation and a Fellowship in Risk Management from Simon Fraser University in two separate majors, Risk Management and General Management. She is an associate Member of the BC Risk & Insurance Management Association and is actively involved with the Insurance Institute of BC as an instructor and lecturer.  She completed the requirements of the Instructor Certification Program and is a certified CIP instructor from the Insurance Institute of Canada.
