Clark Wilson LLP is a business law firm with practitioners specializing in a
number of industries. The Insurance Group provides advice to insurers, managing
general agents, and brokers on a variety of matters. We provide coverage
advice on CGL , E&O and homeowners policies, and we regularly act counsel on
coverage disputes and bad faith claims. We have particularly coverage
expertise on construction insurance, including COC and Builders Risk policies.
We also assist insurers with development of insurance products drafting of
policy wording. We are defence counsel on a variety of liability
assignments, including multi-party, construction, fire, occupiers liability,
catastrophic personal injury, complex liability and professional liability
claims. In addition to coverage and defence work, we also advise insurance
clients on regulatory matters including licensing and compliance issues with
federal and provincial regulators, financial reporting, filings. Finally,
as a business law firm, we assist insurers with their corporate needs as well as
issues relating to privacy and intellectual property.
