The Insurance Institute of British Columbia is pleased to offer a live virtual course which meets the education required by the Insurance Council of BC to obtain either a BC Level 1 Salesperson (Broker) or Level 1 Adjusters' Licence.

Dates:     January 8, 2019 to April 2, 2019
Time:      13 weeks, 6 - 8:30 p.m. + Exam Date
Cost:       $860.50 new members | $780.50 for current paid members

Exam:     April 8 or 15, 2019 lower mainland | Out-of-town - Week of April 8 (dependent on proctor availability)

This course includes the new 2018 GIE C81 and C82 textbooks.

Your Level 1 education will introduce you to risk, risk management and loss prevention, insurance categories, sales distribution, insurance as a contract and policy, underwriting and rating, claims, automobile insurance, property/liability insurance (homeowner, other, commercial), ethics, regulatory framework, and techniques for career success.

Examinations:
Licensing exams are two (2) hours in duration | 100 multiple-choice questions | 70% is required to pass.

Lower mainland will be held at the Insurance Institute of BC | April 8 or 15

Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be eligible to apply to the Insurance Institute of Canada to receive a credit for the CIP course, C11: Principles and Practice of insurance. The cost for this credit is $94.00 plus GST.
