The Insurance Institute of British Columbia is pleased to offer a live virtual course which meets the education required by the Insurance Council of BC to obtain either a BC Level 1 Salesperson (Broker) or Level 1 Adjusters' Licence.

Dates:     January 15, 2020 to April 1, 2020
Time:      12 Wednesdays, 6 - 8:30 p.m. + Exam Date
Cost:       $860.50 for new members | $780.50 for current paid members
Exam:     Lower mainland - April 6 or 20, 2020 | Out-of-town - Week of April 6 (dependent on proctor availability)

Your Level 1 education will introduce you to risk, risk management and loss prevention, insurance categories, sales distribution, insurance as a contract and policy, underwriting and rating, claims, automobile insurance, property/liability insurance (homeowner, other, commercial), ethics, regulatory framework, and techniques for career success.

Virtual course format benefits:

Examinations:
Licensing exams are two (2) hours in duration | 100 multiple-choice questions | 70% is required to pass.

Lower mainland will be held at the Insurance Institute of BC

Out-of-town students registering for this course, please contact Kaitlin Carmichael for exam date and location options. Exam is scheduled subject to proctor availability.

Once you have successfully completed the course, you will be eligible to apply to the Insurance Institute of Canada to receive a credit for the CIP course, C11: Principles and Practice of insurance. The cost for this credit is $94.00 plus GST.
