• Prefer to study in an in-class format.
• Are new to the industry and would benefit from the knowledge of an instructor

The following colleges offer the Level 1 Licensing course in conjunction with the Insurance Institute of BC.  Fees vary by college, and students should register directly with the college of their choice.  Please visit individual websites for exact dates, times, and fees, as the information listed below is intended only to be a guide.

New 2018 edition textbooks will be required for all course as of August 1, 2018.

Douglas College - New Westminster | Phone: 604-527-5472

• Location: New Westminster Campus
• Dates: January 12 to March 2, 2019 (no class Feb. 16)
• Seven Saturdays, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., last class 9 - 11 a.m.
• Cost: $630 plus textbooks which are available from the college bookstore
• Usually offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring semesters

Langara College - Vancouver | Phone: 604-323-5981

• Location: West 49th Avenue Campus, Vancouver
• Dates: January 24 to April 18, 2019
• 13 Thursday evenings, 6:30 - 9:30 p.m.
• Cost: $632, plus textbooks which are available from the college bookstore.
• Usually offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring semesters

EXAMINATIONS

Students write the exam during their final class for all courses except virtual and fast track.  The exam is two (2) hours in duration.  The exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions and 70% is required to pass.  You receive your marks back via email in approximately three business days.
