| BUILDING | TECHNICAL This webinar builds on
Construction 101, 201 and Construction 301 sessions and is geared to
brokers, underwriters and adjusters along with any other claims
professionals handling commercial lines insurance or aspiring to handle
commercial claims.
In this session we will discuss
common project specific construction insurance policies including Course of
Construction (COC), also known as Builder's Risk and Construction All Risk
(CAR), Wrap Liability and other project specific insurance policies including
Professional Indemnity and Environmental coverages. We will review how these
policies interact with one another, and other non-project specific insurance
policies.
Attendees will gain a basic
understanding of project insurance policies, and the foundations of a sound
claim investigation, through discussion of real-world policy and claim
examples.
Topics will be discussed at the
introductor to intermediate level; the session is not intended to address
advanced project policy features or claim investigations.

Presenters:
Sean Forgie, SVP Specialsty Risk
Division: Sean is a Senior Vice-President SRD
provides senior leadership and direction for all operational aspects of the
Canadian SRD business units, including Complex Commercial Industrial (CCI),
Transportation Equipment Cargo (TEC) and BBCG Claim Services. Sean is an
Executive General Adjuster with more than 30 years industry experience.
Sean handles and supervises large loss and technical
casualty claims and oversees the handling of complex claims conducted by the
Executive General and Senior General Adjusters that make up the SRD team in
Canada.
Lewis Moorman, VP SRD Western Canada:
Lewis is an Executive General
Adjuster (EGA) based in Edmonton, Alberta. He began his career in 2010 in
Toronto, Ontario where he had strong mentorship under senior adjusters, working
on large and complex commercial claims. Lewis moved to Western Canada in 2014
where he had further exposure to heavy industry and industrial
losses.
Through his career, Lewis has
handled substantial and complex equipment breakdown, construction, commercial
property and environmental losses for manufacturers, developers, sports
complexes and resorts. Lewis also has cross-border and class-action lawsuit
experience.
Michael Buzzeo, VP SRD:
Michael is an Executive General
Adjuster (EGA) based out of the Calgary office with claims extending throughout
Canada. He is a graduate of the Grant MacEwan University Business Program (major
in Insurance and Risk Management) and has secured the FCIP and FRM Designations
securing the award "Top Fellow in Risk Management". He is a Fellow of the
International Federation of Adjusting Associations.
Prior to commencing his career with ClaimsPro’s
Specialty Risk Division (SRD), he gained five years’ experience with a National
Canadian Insurer and gained further corporate, commercial and specialty claims
experience for four years with an International Loss Adjusting firm. Currently,
Michael is handling a wide portfolio of commercial and industrial claims which
extend to the Energy (oil & gas) and Mining sectors for various National and
International clients.
