Alberta 2020 Condominium Regulations - Recovery of
Amount of Deductible, Standard Insurable Unit Description and Improvements and

Condominium Managers, Condominium Board Members, Unit Owners and all Insurance

Learn the impact of these
two new regulations with respect to claims adjudication. We will review
the regulations and the application of both with respect to adjudication of
claims for the Condominium Corporation and Unit Owners.
The addition of
the Standard Insurable Unit Description (SIUD) regulation is a major step to
resolve the claims adjudication process to clarify the separation of the Unit
(Corporation's insurance responsibility) versus Improvements (Unit Owners

Insurance Institute of Southern Alberta.
He was an instructor for
the Insurance Institute of Manitoba for 9 years and is active in the industry as
a presenter of many seminars on behalf of the industry groups and

Sherry is Vice President and Team Leader of the Real Estate Division at BFL
Sherry started her insurance career in 1991 and has worked with
clients from a variety of industries, but she has dedicated 30 years of her
career to Condominium Corporations. She has a strong background in
building client relationships, problem solving, claims management and risk

includes presenting at trade shows, speaking at seminars for property managers,
attending board meetings and AGM's, and teaching the insurance parts of the CCI
CM 200 and 300 courses.
Sherry is an active member of the Canadian
Condominium Institute of Canada, Southern Alberta, and the Association of
Condominium Managers of Alberta. Sherry has earned her CIP and CAIB
