Presenter: Mark E. Samis, M.Sc., M.B.A., P.Geo.

Mark has been involved in a large range of projects and roles in the environmental industry over his career which began in 1984.  In addition to operations management and business development, his experience includes the senior technical and/or project management roles on numerous projects in Canada and the U.S. ranging in scope up to $10 million. His technical experience includes spill response, Phase 1, 2 and 3 environmental site assessments, site remediation planning and design, waste management/landfill investigations and design, landfill site selection, landfill gas studies, water supply investigations, peer review and subrogation support.

His managerial roles have included project management of major environmental projects, some involving multiple technical disciplines, vice president of operations which included the business development and growth of an environmental consultancy to more than $26 million in annual revenues and 40 staff, Business Line Lead for a new emergency response offering in Canada and most recently as Vice President of the environmental business line for Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences LP.
