Whether you answer the first call from the policyholder, provide the quote, rate the risk or adjust the claim, every position plays a critical role in risk management and the overall health of our organization. Front line staff have the first line of sight into each risk. They help shape not only the consumer's experience with the insurance product, but help define the exposure that the insurer has to that risk. From the perspective of skilled and knowledgeable front line insurance professionals, we dive into breaking down the silos of departments, to uncover the true connection and value each department has in the health of a company's profile. By exploring key elements that support success, the panel will:

- Identify barriers to optimal performance and proven methods of overcoming those barriers
- Share success stories and best practices
- Enrich our understanding of how each role supports the success of the organization and the wider insurance industry
- Redefine the term "front line underwriting" to show how we all play a role in risk management.

Using a case study, the panel will speak from their sphere of influence on how their role addresses risk management, and how the interaction with other departments can achieve a more balanced, inclusive, effective approach to meeting the needs of the insurance consumer.The objective of the session will be to demonstrate that the term "front line underwriting" applies to every insurance professional at every stage of the policy journey. The assessment of risk does not fall solely on the shoulders of the underwriter accepting or rejecting the risk.
