The global pandemic has had a profound impact on many aspects of our lives, particularly our mental health. The change in routine, added stress and increased isolation have had a compounding effect on our mental wellbeing.

In this session, led by Ted Bober, M.S.W., R.S.W. of the Ontario Medical Association, you’ll get to know how the pandemic has impacted our mental health, and the social/emotional challenges expected to emerge in the fall. Ted will share best practices for managing personal and work-related concerns and worries. He’ll also provide tips for having a confident and caring conversation with a colleague, friend or family member you might be concerned about.

This session is part of the GTA Symposium virtual lineup, which was originally planned for April.

Director, Clinical Services, Physician Health Program, Ontario Medication Association
Ted currently serves as the Director of Clinical Services. The Physician Health Program provides support, advice, and advocacy for medical trainees, practicing physicians and physician leaders. As a consultant and coach, Ted has supported numerous professionals and safety-sensitive organizations experiencing adversity. He recently served as a Health Canada wellness support to health care teams working with Canadians who temporarily stayed Trenton and Cornwall. He has presented at scientific conferences on professional health in Canada, the US, and the UK. Ted is a happy dad, papa, husband and hiker with his retriever pal Dawson.
