1- Future-proofing the Customer
Relationship
Get up to speed on the expectations of
today’s insurance customer and how they’ve changed. Through highlighting some of
the technology solutions available to the insurance industry today, you’ll be
provided with insight into future solutions to ensure that insurance
professionals provide the most effective risk management experience to the
insurance customer. Lastly, the uses of data analytics will be reviewed – along
with addressing some Canadian-specific challenges, before providing a forum for
discussion on future-proofing the customer relationship with the insurance
buying public.

Caroline Schweppe
| Vice President of Insurer Solutions, Applied Systems
Caroline leads the Applied Systems Insurer Solutions team
in Canada, and has more than 20 years of experience working with IT firms in the
Canadian and U.S. insurance industry. She formerly served as vice president of
business development at ClearRisk Inc., a provider of risk management solutions
to insurers, insurance brokers and professional risk managers. Before that, she
held a number of business development and advisory roles at CGI, Insurers
Advisory Organization (IAO) and Bank of Montreal. Caroline holds a bachelor’s
degree from the University of Dublin and has a diploma in Canadian Risk
Management from the University of Toronto.

insurance roles are evolving and what shifts we can expect to see in the future.

SESSION 3 - InsurTech for Claims: Current Trends and Future
Opportunities
The pace of innovation in the insurance claims adjusting space is
increasing rapidly, yet changes are still slow to come. We’ve seen industry
incumbents and new entrants invest in InsurTech to capitalize on the potential
of artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics. While there are
a few pockets of the industry where these tools are in use today, we have not
yet seen the wholesale disruption that many predicted would follow. In this
interactive session, you’ll learn about the success stories that exist in the
market today and explore the tools and technologies that hold the most promise
for tomorrow. You’ll also learn how to transform the promised changes to reality
and uncover the role the policyholder will have in driving this change. Finally,
discover the key questions industry players must ask when evaluating the
potential InsurTech for claims holds for their business.

Greg is Chief Client Officer at Crawford & Company (Canada) Inc.
where he is responsible for the firm sales, marketing and account management
strategy. Throughout his 23-year career at Crawford he has held a number of
leadership roles in marketing, project management, operations, IT, HR and sales.
As a member of the Canadian board of directors and global senior leadership team
Greg has been responsible for a number of change management and business
transformation initiatives that cut across the
organization.
