Congratulatory Messages

I would like to offer my wholehearted congratulations to the class of 2020. What an incredible accomplishment to have completed this arduous task in such a tumultuous year. You have invested countless hours into increasing your knowledge of insurance. It is my hope that you would take this knowledge and use it to educate your customers, to enlighten your coworkers and peers when they have questions, and to empower yourself to continue to expand your insurance knowledge. Well done grads, I’m proud of each one of you!

Steps to becoming a CIP during the pandemic

When you successfully complete your final exam in the CIP program, you are automatically eligible to graduate, but a few steps need to happen before you can begin using your CIP designation.

First, we need to ensure you meet the academic and employment requirements of the program, including at least one year of full-time employment in the industry. If we require any additional information from you, you will be notified by email.

Next, the formalities begin! Your name is put forward for election at the next meeting of the Board of Governors. This year, a special election will take place in late November 2020. Students who wrote (and passed!) their final exam in August were eligible to start using the CIP designation on December 1, 2020. Students who completed their CIP courses in December 2020 will be invited to attend convocation as a graduate next year (2022).
