This 3 hour seminar will focus on the nature of cyber risks, how coverage responds and some of the risk management techniques that insurance professionals need to consider.  It will provide an overview of various coverage forms currently offered.

Facilitator Karen MacWilliams will also discuss Canada's Anti-spam legislation and interrelated privacy legislation as it related to risks and insurance coverage.

This session is best for brokers, underwriters, claims professionals and risk managers with a focus on commercial lines.

Karen is an author, self-employed consultant, and executive, specializing in risk management and insurance analysis. She has worked in the insurance and risk management fields since 1986, and has operated a successful consultancy since 1997 with operations in Western and Atlantic Canada. She has lectured at Simon Fraser University at Harbour Centre, Vancouver; University of Northern British Colombia, Prince George; and currently teaches risk management at Dalhousie University in Halifax. Ms. MacWilliam is also the author of several articles and books including reference texts for the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation program.
