2019 Symposium Events banner

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the GTA Chapter's CIP Society Symposium, an annual industry highlight for GTA’s insurance professionals, providing a full day of professional and leadership development and networking opportunities with insurance and business leaders.

This year’s GTA event, to be held on April 9 at the Toronto Board of Trade, has the theme, "Exploring the Unknown." Sessions include blockchain and the crypto ecosystem, an update on cannabis-related risk, and how to use data to navigate the unknown.

The day starts off with a keynote presentation from  #1 Body Language Professional in the world, Mark Bowden; the lunch keynote speaker is Sarah Robson, President & CEO at Marsh Canada; and the Up Close and Personal Panel includes presidents and CEOs from CNA Canada, Markel Canada, Nacora International Insurance Brokers, and Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company. The day will provide engaging discussion, future-forward insights, and plenty of opportunities for networking.

Since the success of GTA’s Symposium, institutes and chapters across the country have organized regional versions of the event. With presentations grounded in future-forward themes, keynote speakers who motivate and inspire, and a chance to connect with the who's who of the industry, CIP Society Symposium Events provide a well-rounded professional development opportunity.
