Mentoring Advantage

Leading by Example with Mentorship in the Workplace

Mentoring does not always need to be as formal as you think – from acts of leadership to supporting the onboarding of new hires, we all have the capacity to mentor others. Many of us may be inadvertently mentoring in the work we are doing and advice we are giving every day.

So why not expand on your mentoring knowledge and enhance these relationships utilize the resources the CIP Society has developed for professionals just like you!

If you are looking for some information to benefit your mentoring relationships, like setting goals, identifying a mentor, and implementing strategies for success, visit: insuranceinstitute.ca/mentoring.

If you’re looking for some perspectives on mentoring in the industry, visit our Experience Speaks mentoring blog: Mentoring/experience-speaks/mentoring-blog.

In a recent CIP Society member survey, 90% indicated that mentoring is 'valuable' or 'very valuable' to the industry at large and 72% reported mentoring is 'valuable' or 'very valuable' to them personally. This is why we created resources to help you and your organization incorporate mentoring, in preparation for the changes that are expected as more experienced professionals retire and the next generations enter the workforce.
