Advanced Skills for the Insurance Broker and Agent builds on the foundation ofC130: Essential Skills for the Insurance Broker and Agent and is immediately useful to the broker with several years of experience. The course addresses the more complex insurance needs of commercial clients through the risk management principles of identifying exposures, analyzing risks, identifying risk management options and implementing a risk management plan. It also provides a brief discussion of various terms, conditions and clauses in commonly used wording.

Three categories of commercial clients'—manufacturers and distributors, contractors and builders’—risks are analyzed using a case study process. Finally, Advanced Skills for the Insurance Broker and Agent addresses the broker’s continuing task of monitoring and modifying the risk management plan, including reviewing the progress and insurance needs of commercial clients once their initial policy has been placed.
