Special Hazards and
Processes builds on the
discussion of physical risk set out in C36: Building Construction, Fire Hazards and Basic

not discussed. Rather, you will study in detail certain physical phenomena and
various processes that may give rise to fires or explosions covered by
insurance, and ways of controlling these exposures.
Those in loss prevention and underwriting will
benefit most from Special Hazards and Processes. We strongly
recommend you take C36 before this elective course.
