CAIB Credits

Insurance Brokers Association of Canada

With completion of all the courses required for the CAIB designation, applicants are eligible for three (3) credits:

• C11: Principles and Practice of Insurance (Mandatory Course)
• C130: Essential Skills for the Insurance Broker and Agent (Applied Professional Course)
• (1) unspecified elective course

Credits granted will be recognized as transfer credits only and will be assigned a passing grade. This may affect qualification for an Honours CIP certificate and a student's chance at winning a CIP prize.

Only two (2) credits will be available if the student has already completed course C11.

Students requesting credits should forward a clear copy of the CAIB Certificate, the letter indicating successful CAIB completion, or copies of the grades for their successful CAIB courses along with credit card information or a cheque, made payable to:

To obtain credits, students must be members of their local Insurance Institute or chapter. The annual membership fee varies. See our Membership page for further information.
