Computer-based Exams

All CIP, GIE, and Risk Management final exams are computer based. Computer-based exams (CBE) are written at proctored exam centres. Exam sites have a secure computer set-up, including screen protection and locked-down browsers.

If you are registered for a CBE course, try our free CBE tutorial to learn what it's all about first-hand. You will need your IIC membership ID number to login.

Please note: if you are using Internet Explorer as your browser and the link does not work for you, please follow these instructions: On the Internet Explorer main menu, select Tools > Internet Options. In the Internet Options box, select the Advanced tab. In the Security category, check ‘Use TLS 1.0’, as well as TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 (if available).

Once you are registered for a course, a booking confirmation with the exam date, time, and location as well as other important information pertaining to the scheduled exam will be emailed to you. The automated date reserves a spot to write the exam. Students will have an opportunity to change the randomly selected date until the week before exam session begins. A new confirmation email will be sent to students who update their final exam date.
