TORONTO, ON, APRIL 22, 2025/insPRESS/ – ClaimsPro, Canada’s leading provider of independent claims adjusting services and an SCM company, today announced the appointment of Laurie Andrews as Director of Marine Services.

Laurie began her career as a Quality Control Engineer for a custom boat manufacturer, based on her early studies as a Marine Engineering Technologist. In 2005, she entered the insurance industry as a Marine Surveyor before becoming a licensed Adjuster for national IA firms. Laurie has gained extensive experience handling all aspects of marine claims, including vessel inspection, damage surveys, pollution exposure, crew illness, and marina property claims. She holds the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designations and completed a Bachelor of Maritime Studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland.

In her new role, Laurie will oversee ClaimsPro’s Marine Services business unit with a focus on growth, operational excellence, mentorship, and process improvements to ensure continuous deliverance of high-quality service to our clients. Her leadership will support the continued growth of the Marine Services division as ClaimsPro seeks to become the most trusted adjusting company in the markets it serves.

ClaimsPro’s Marine Services team is comprised of highly experienced, senior surveyors providing specialized claims services to the marine and cargo industries across Canada. The team is equipped to provide relevant insight to process claims quickly with fast on-scene response, bringing decades of experience and an in-depth understanding of the unique requirements for handling marine related losses. Marine Services is part of ClaimsPro’s Specialty Risk Division (SRD), and Laurie will report to Sean Forgie, Senior Vice President, SRD.
