"Forseeable Failures, Insurable Insights: Risk Culture Matters" As mergers and acquisitions mix different company cultures, and AI promises to supplant the basics of risk assessment, this session will examine the reasons risk culture must stay in focus beyond the "noise" of the market. Most disasters aren’t pure accidents, they are the culmination of ignored warnings. Risk culture determines whether those warnings are heard. Tylenol’s response to cyanide laced tablets, and Enron’s response to profit pressures highlight two ends of the risk culture continuum. This is a case-driven presentation using real-world examples to shine a spotlight on the importance of Risk Culture. From the Oceangate Titan to the Exxon Valdez, from Lac Megantic to the Boeing 737, this session reveals the cultural and risk failures that insurance professionals must learn to spot before catastrophe strikes. Join the Insurance Institute of Saskatchewan for this session as Brad Neal, VP of Business Development for the Insurance Institute of Canada, discusses risk culture in Canada. Lunch will be provided to all attendees. CE CREDITS 1.5 CE hours Cancellation Policy: No cancellation allowed.
