Siddhartha Bhattacharya is a Senior Economist at ATB Financial. Siddhartha focuses on developing comprehensive forecasts and scenarios of Alberta’s economy through the analysis of trends in the provincial, national and global economy. Before starting in his role at ATB, Siddhartha was an Economist at Alberta Treasury Board and Finance for over five years, where he led macroeconomic forecasting, modelling and impact analysis work as well as conducted research on current topics and trends for publication purposes. Siddhartha is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in macroeconomic research and analysis. He graduated from the University of Calgary with an Master’s degree in Economics and also holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Dundee, United Kingdom.
Since 1996 Paul has been a contributing author to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the world’s leading forum for the study of climate issues. The Panel won the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize “for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change”. He is Canada’s leading authority on insurance and climate change and has been a contributing author to numerous international and Canadian reports on reducing the risk of loss from earthquakes, flood and severe wind.
Brad began his career on the insurer side of the business. Starting as an underwriter trainee, over the span of 15 years he held progressively senior roles in Underwriting and Business Development for two international insurers. He then joined the brokerage side of the business where he worked as the managing partner at a commercial brokerage. During that time, he also served as President of the Local Broker’s Association. He subsequently joined a large regional broker as VP personal lines before joining the Institute in 2018. Brad holds an undergraduate degree from Queen’s University along with earning his ACIP and CRM designations. He is currently pursuing his FCIP.
