Bonnie brings 37 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 23 years specializing in agriculture. She holds FCIP and CRM designations and has worked across underwriting, brokering, marketing, and claims. Her career spans direct farm insurance sales, product innovation, and leadership roles. While leading the Western Region Underwriting team at Economical, Bonnie and her team grew the agriculture P&C book from $6 million to $43 million in five years, managing relationships with 400 brokers across Western Canada. She also played a key role in developing agricultural products from wording and rating to broker education and marketing. Raised on a cattle and hay farm in Northern Alberta and married to a grain farmer, Bonnie has a lifelong connection to agriculture. She regularly visits a wide range of agricultural and agri-commercial operations, staying closely connected to farmers, emerging risks, and market trends. Known as a driven leader and mentor, Bonnie believes in continuous learning, collaboration, and a focused approach to agricultural insurance—one she feels is long overdue and essential to the future of the sector.
