For Underwriters: Key things to look for in woodstove questionnaires, WETT reports, and photos. Learn how to assess appliance usage, spot common exposures, and apply loss prevention measures. For Claims Adjusters: Post-loss assessments—how to work with underwriting, brokers, and clients to understand the cause of a loss and set clear expectations for repairs and replacements that meet the latest safety standards. For Others in Related Field: Enhance your knowledge of wood heating appliances, their usage, and how to provide more effective service and information to clients across all sectors of the insurance industry. Nancy studies all aspects of Residential Construction features and participates in construction projects when possible. She has over 30 years of actively developing guidelines, creating standards for consistency and providing top notch practical training for industry, government and related associations. Nancy is a WETT certified inspector in the Wood Heating industry and provided training at the last WETT AGM Expo & Conference in 2024 and serves on the Advocacy Committee for WETT Inc nationally. Nancy is also an industry representative member in COHA- Canadian Oil Heat Association – Nova Scotia Chapter.
