FCIPFellow Chartered Insurance Professional - New Track

Are you looking for a program that will challenge you and prepare you for leadership in the property and casualty industry?

If so, we’re pleased to announce the launch of a new, enhanced FCIP program. Beginning in September 2010, current and future leaders in the property and casualty insurance sector can pursue a rigorous, six-course executive leadership program tailored specifically to the needs of the industry.

Why a new FCIP program? Our stakeholders told us the industry needed a program to prepare promising candidates for leadership positions. We listened. And then we listened some more—we talked with our students, leaders in the industry and our graduates.

In response, we’ve developed a new program that balances business theory with insurance context, and academic challenge with real-world application. The new FCIP Program will give you the strategic preparation you need to be a leader in an insurance organization.

Courses have been custom-designed to cover strategy, leadership, financial management, enterprise risk management and emerging issues, all from a p&c industry perspective. The program culminates with a work-based capstone project.

Don’t yet have an FCIP? We encourage you to read more about the new FCIP program including the program structure and entrance requirements and start planning for this critical step on your career path.

Are you enrolled in the original FCIP program? The new program requirements need not effect you. However, if your career aspirations include a leadership role, we strongly encourage you to consider entry to the new program.

If you don’t meet the entrance requirements for the new track FCIP program, you can still register for the original track FCIP program for a limited time. Different deadlines apply depending on your academic status. Please refer to the Original Track FCIP Program page for details.
