Career Connections
The Career Connections Program is an insurance and career education
program. The program has two interconnected elements:
Curriculum Connections:
Builds an understanding of insurance principles among junior high and
high school students by encouraging the inclusion of insurance in the
curriculum and to build an understanding of insurance among teachers by
offering various education resources.
Career Connections:
Increases awareness and understanding of the numerous professional
employment opportunities in the insurance industry among high school and
post-secondary students. By enhancing the perception of insurance as a
professional career, we can encourage a greater number of candidates to
choose insurance as a career, thereby working to fulfill the industry
need for new talent.
The Institute’s Career Connections team is supported by industry
professionals who act as Ambassadors on behalf of the insurance
industry. Across Canada, Ambassadors motivate and inspire youth to
pursue careers in the industry by presenting their career and education
journey in classroom presentations and at career events. | |
