The Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation programs are at the core of the Insurance Institute. A recent Conference Board of Canada study found that those who hold a CIP designation earn an average annual wage premium of $8,000 per year more than colleagues with a similar level of experience without a designation.

The Risk Management and Advanced CIP certificate programs are new offerings to our members. The three-course Risk Management program helps to prepare you for the exams that lead to the Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation. Available to graduates of the CIP program, the four-course Advanced CIP program is designed to enhance core business and finance concepts relevant to the p&c industry.
